Last October, several of us joined a small group of The Velominati (a.k.a. ‘The Keepers of the Cog’ http://www.velominati.com/about/ , and of ‘The RULES’ http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/ ) on a 100km Cogal (http://www.velominati.com/cogals/ ) in & around West Point, NY.
It featured great scenery, stiff climbs, and most of all, unsurpassed camaraderie. We immediately made up our minds that we’d reciprocate & host a ride on our own awesome local roads in 2013.
Here's the Route (download to your Garmin):
This will be an event not to be missed, and will likely encompass much more than the just ride itself- think pre & post-ride dinner/bbq/drinks, etc. Various Velominati will be travelling from far afield to join us- we expect that our Cannibal-emeritus will make arrangements to do the same!
Take a good look at all the aforementioned links; if you’re not immediately stoked and counting down the days until May 19th, then it may be time to consider selling your bike!
See you out there,

We are a non-profit cycling club located in the lower Connecticut River valley. The Cannibal name pays homage to our cycling hero, the great Eddy Merckx.
We often feel compelled to ask ourselves, W.W.E.D.?- What Would Eddy Do? The answer? RIDE LOTS !
Our regular Sunday morning "Cannibal" rides begin in Chester Center, and typically vary between 40 and 60 miles. From April to September, the pace is quite brisk, so we may divide into groups. From October to March, the pace is far more relaxed. Please join in!
